I started running again this morning . . . basically, it hurts.

I Got PWNT!

pwnt - the result of being pwned.

pwned - being owned.

owned - being defeated.

This morning I got pwnt--bad.

So, there's this kid in my church who's been saying that he could beat me in racing now.  And I told him, "No."  And he told me, "Yes."  So after church this morning we raced.  And well . . . I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves . . .

Why God Blog?

I've been doing a lot of thinking lately . . . specifically, I've been thinking about how detached I currently feel from the spiritual dialog that is happening in our day.  Several months ago, this was not the case.  I felt engaged, I felt informed, and yes, I felt opinionated.  Right now I don't.

So doing a little soul-searching and path-tracing, I've come up with a reason why this may be the case.  I think it's because several months ago I was heavily involved with blogging.  I was blogging theology and praxis, and reading and commenting on other blogs discussing theology and praxis (you'll find some of them in my links bar to the left <--).  I'm pretty much convinced that when I jumped out of the blogosphere, I, in a way, jumped out of the discussion.

This is not to say that I'm not dealing with spiritual issues on a daily basis--as a pastor I most certainly am.  But it is to say that I miss not being "in the loop" about thoughts concerning Christ, church, community, and commission.

I need to seriously get back into the game.  It's time to God Blog.

Evangelion! (Glad Tidings)

Christmas time comes with the reflection of many blessings in life.  The greatest blessing that my wife and I have to be thankful for is the upcoming birth of our first child--a son!

Yeah, December 22 is the due date . . . so a "Christmas Baby" fidelis.

My wife keeps wanting me to get serious and help her pin down a name.  (Now she's threatening to just name the kid without me, if I don't get with it!)

But hey, what's so non-serious about names such as I have previously suggested to her:

Clemmons
Diglet
Dungan
Thor

I dunno . . what would you suggest that is befitting of the Robinson surname?

Moving Back

It's been quite some time since I've blogged . . . it's good to be back.

5 reasons why I decided to get back into the "blogosphere":

1. I have so much to write about
2. I love the design and creativity aspect of it
3. I want to engage in meaningful, cutting-edge conversation about the church
4. I feel it's the right time to start again
5. I just wanna . . .

Moving On . . .

Well, a chapter in my life is closing as a new one opens.

Blogging is done . . . well, at least here and for the moment . . . I've learned a lot of things and I continue to learn through my blogging experience.

Thanks to everyone who actually left a comment and encouraged the discussion while it lasted . . . .

Peace!
